If you’ve got a design project you’d like to work on, would like it to be easy and fun with great results drop me a mail. I get it. Let’s chat.

I know what your daily life is like in the fashion industry;
~ hundreds of emails,
~ mountains of approvals
~ urgent range amends that a factory is pushing you for…
EVERY SINGLE DAY .

You need a designer who uses their own initiative.

You need a designer who you don’t need to keep checking is getting on with what is briefed.

You need a designer who goes above what is expected.

You need a designer that replies to your mails in ten minutes not ten hours.

You need a designer who meets your deadline with high quality work. every. single. time.

I get it.

I’m Emma, a West Midlands based freelance designer specialising in  print design predominantly for the childrenswear market.

I love fashion, design, chocolate (every day), family time, animals, ice skating and my apple mac. The daily chaos of life is shared with an understanding husband, two lovely little daughters and a needy pug .

I’ve worked full time as a designer since graduating with a BA Hons in Graphic Design in 2003.

I’ve worked both in-house and for suppliers and I’ve been lucky enough to have worked closely with buyers and designers for George, Next, M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, Debenhams, Poundland, Studio, Dunnes, Nutmeg, M&Co, Mothercare, Pepkor, Ackermans and Target.

I’m used to working closely with buyers, factories and garment technologists. I have also been on regular factory trips overseas to learn about the garment manufacturing processes and costings.

I also have experience designing for licensed brands including Mattel (Barbie), HIT (Thomas and Bob The Builder), Disney, Fisher Price and the BBC.

I have also worked as a visiting tutor at Birmingham City University on the BA Hons Fashion course.

I love working in the fashion industry.

I am always interested in new commissions and meeting interesting people so please do get in touch if you’d like to work with me.
